A Prayer for America
Our Father, we thank You for the United States of America. You have had Your hand upon this country from its inception.
America Needs God’s Blessing
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let us remember that the greatest need of America today—and always—is God’s blessing. Even with a strong military, a strong economy, and a strong workforce, if we don’t have God’s favor, we really don’t have anything of genuine value.
America Needs Godly Families
If America is ever going to rise to greatness again, we need the foundation of godly families. Paul summarized what God expects from Christian families in Colossians 3:18-21. Husbands need to love their wives unconditionally like Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it.
America Needs Prophetic Preachers
For America to continue as a strong, God-blessed nation, we need prophetic preachers. Too many preachers today mishandle the Word of God by telling their people that the Christian life is all about “living your best life now.” Instead, we desperately need preachers who will stand for God and against sin and say, “Thus says the Lord!”
America Needs Biblical Churches
I thank God for the Church. I’m convinced that the Church at its worst is still much better than the world at its best. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, “I say also to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”
America Needs Righteous Government
Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” I believe that for America to continue enjoying the blessings of Almighty God, we need lawmakers, not lawbreakers.
America Needs a Strong Military
Some people believe we should cut back on support for our military, but I disagree. I believe America needs a strong military if we are to continue enjoying God’s blessing and protection.
America Needs Diligent Workers
I believe that the United States of America is the most blessed nation on earth. The primary reason America has been blessed is because God has honored the prayers and godly lives of millions of Christians who have faithfully loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ.
